Lsj engine noise, bearing issue?

So I'm in the process of pulling my motor, i developed a internal engine noise (not top end or timing related) after I came to this conclusion I decided to pull the motor for several reasons. What I want to know is, is there anything I can upgrade while I have the lower end apart? Everything else is pretty much built. Comp cams, ported head all the regular bolt ons. Are there better pistons, rods, crank or anything? I'm really hoping I have a bearing that is causing the issues and can clean the crank or rods if thats the case but I only want to do this once. The noise itself sounds like its coming from cylinder one. Using a stethoscope its prominent in the header pipe at cylinder one only. I pulled the valve cover and checked all my cam caps and everything (have swapped cams several times so I was hoping it was something silly up top but all is good) Timing components are all new and looked good when I pulled the cover.

Rods and pistons are easy to find. If you have engine noise the crank might be toast. Stock crank will hold whatever you throw at it. Check out zzperformance and turbotechracing.
