Megan Racing?
i've seen their ads and so forth. dunno anyone that has any of their products.
there are companies out there that are trying to make a name for themselves and are offering decent products for good money.
exhaust is like this. it's a metal pipe, it's either the right size and bent correctly, or is isn't.
there are lots of decent muffler shops that will fab together a cat-back for well under the $500-$600 that most people are spending these days. now, if that price includes the cat and header...that seems like a "too good" deal, but if it's a cat-back, it's just about fair, if you ask me.
cause it can't be any worse than the pacesetter.

yea, i mean i dont mind the ricer sound, if i wanted to sound deep and throaty I wouldnt be driving a 4 cylinder, lol. i just dont feel like paying 500+ for an exhaust.
is there an official exhaust thread on here? anyone know?

I've got a megan n1 muffler on some 2.5" pipe and it sounds very nice and deep. No raspiness that some give you even when its cold. Never heard one bad thing about it except it is kinda loud at wot without the silencer in but i like it.
This brand is widely spread among clubs of import cars.. and, frankly, have not the greatest quality... exhausts are too raspy. springs are sagging.. everything else, however, is great
Oh, and don't get a short throw shifters either..

in general or from the company? either way, short throws are beneficial and Megan Racing does not make a short throw for the cobalt
I have a megan racing cat-back on my cavalier, very nice sounding, 2.25" stainless. Does come with a fart can muffler but this is by far the best can I have heard. It's not raspy at all and for anyone that knows cavaliers they can be very raspy without a resonater and mine does not have a resonator.
