Question Modification list!! need help

So I'm new to modifying my 05 ss/sc all I have right now is Injen CAI and Stock exhaust piping with no resonator and a magnaflow muffler. So by summer I would like to boost my hp numbers so here's what i got for a list so far.

GM stage 2 ( unless the ottp stage 1 is better )
SPEC stage 1 clutch kit
Meth injection kit

I know it's not much but it's a list i want realistically done by summer so if i could get some feed back on maybe alternative mods to get more hp sooner and safer please let me know.

Thanks

Ok well I'll go with the ottp stage 1 but will a meth kit show improved hp numbers or is it just a precautionary cooling mod?

Meth kit can be just for cooling or it can be used to cool and produce more power. This can be done by using different "mixes." Basically you can use meth to boost your power because it boost the octane of your gas allowing you to run more timing. Although you would need cooling mods with the ottp stage 1 i would invest in full exhaust first. Save money and get a full exhaust. You don't need the clutch unless your oem one is slipping.

You going to have to get a custom tune if you run meth to get gains from it. So, you shouldn't get the OTT if your going to have to get it tuned anyway. If you really want to run meth your best bet is to buy 60's a pulley a belt and find someone local to tune you.

The next thing i would get is the vibrant header and dp plus theres a group buy on it right now so you will get a great price. 2nd i would get a goob catback the gmpp catback is a very great choice they have dyno provens gains of 12 whp.3rd i would get the ott stg 1.That should put you right at 250,,to 260 whp with the meth kit you have now. This here is a very good set up and has been proven to work very well, not just thoughts,or i think so this is proven.

gmpp catback is a waste of money. His main priority should be the Header/DP THEN a 2.8"/60's and tuning. That will produce the most power for his money.

Thank you. I've never seen that thread and have been proven wrong. The gmpp exhaust does provide gains but at what cost? Its 565 dollars. You can get a DP/Header AND a pacesetter catback for the same price.

I care less about quality and more about performance and gains.

Ok, so thanks to all the feedback I have modified my to do list. here's what i've decided.

- Vibrant header/dp combo on the group buy
- zzp 2.8 pulley = $89.99
- New belt on zzp = $59.99
- #60 siemens injectors with harness from zzp = $171.99 + $30 for harness
- 2 step colder NGK iridium plugs = $29.99
- OTTP devil's own meth kit = $245
And then I am going to use a local shop Vex performance to do the install on most of that and then do a custom tune.

Tell me what you think
