chevy, either or.
i would check with zzp first. if they say send it back, i would have a new one sent out first. either way you will get a new cat. there is only a couple companies out there that make cats, for stock cars, and "high flow"
magnaflow is the major player in this.
i tried finding the warranty info on the cat, no luck on my end. i will keep digging. in the mean time, they should send you a new dp with the cat on it, then send yours back.
i myself don't have a back up car, so im stuck with what happens on my car. this is what i personally would do. seeing as you have a back up car. you have an option of doing this. or just letting it sit while you wait for parts to get back.
i see you have a cargo net. i envy you for this
depends. you lean it out, you run the risk of superheating the cylinders and barfing a ring land.
also, you run less timing due to the window of knock becoming smaller.
have you put a wb02 on your car since you had a tune done?
or put an egt into number 4 to see how hot it really is?
there is a reason i ask this. a local car i tuned, he put an egt in. found out the tune i had in there originally was running 1600 degree's at teh top of third. not good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i richened it up, smoothed somethings out here and there. never gets over 1400. this is in the downpipe. add about 150 degrees to that for number 4 being singled out.
it's happy. i can't do anything else to it but add maybe another degree of timing.
how does this translate for you?
well. it does to a degree. like i said, you take fuel out, you lose the timing window. lean = heat. but it also equals power.

I've had a ZZP Downpipe with the Magnaflow High Flow Cat in it for the past 15,000 miles and its probably one of the most solid pieces I've put on my car. Between that and the Billetflow pulley I dont know which one I would say is the best product. The cat going bad is probably a magnaflow defect, they really are skimping on quality lately if thats the case. ZZP will warranty it out for you you just have to call them.

1 way to bring this thread back from the dead haha.. and yes 1 month ago is the dead..
2 why wouldn't you buy it ... it's not zzp's fault the magnaflow cat is bad... they used magnaflow because it's supposed to be a good company. however their quality has been slipping lately ...
the OP is just frustrated.. .from everyone else I've heard that zzp's header and DP is an amazing combo ... but to use better bots to bolt it in because some people have had an issue with the bolts snapping and having a leak between the header and DP

had mine on for about 500 miles now, no problems what-so-ever.. just the occasional CEL. but that's just because of the new placement of the o2 censor. no biggie. HPT can fix that.
Oh, and I threw a P1133 code a few times, anyone know anything about this code? Thanks.

Don't buy from zzp, its all overpriced garbage. I ordered. A catless downpipe, flange was not fully welded, angled bung I paid for was not on it....they would not send a new one or refund the money. On the same order I bought an ls4 tb with all the adapters, and a burned pcm. The tb was bad, and I had to order the adapters again because they did not send them, but swore they did. The pcm was bad, not to mention the plastic around the plugs were all busted. And the order took over 60 days.....it was a 5 business day shipping guarantee. This place is a shitbag shop ripping people off.
