NEED ADVICE on ZZP stage 3 kit

Hey guys, im looking at installing a stage 3 kit from ZZP. Car has 108k miles and is stock, other than cold air intake.

Im going to run the 2.8 pulley and everything that comes with the kit, is there anything I should know before I just pull it into the shop and start trying to install this kit? I don't want to start pulling things apart and realize I don't have a special tool, or didn't bring something I needed for the install. Also if somebody has done this before I would love some install instructions or tips, about what you guys did first and last on the install.

Also a few questions if you guys know the answers.

1. Is it REQUIRED that I need a header/downpipe for this install? (ZZP website says you can run the shorty header with stock downpipe for the kit is this true?)

2. Is it REQUIRED that I have a dual pass endplate to run this kit? Or can i just run the aftermarket heat exchanger without the dual pass?

3. Does my intercooler pump HAVE to be working for this kit to safely run?

Sorry guys if these are dumb questions, im new to this platform.
Thanks!

1- its highly recommended. proper exhaust flow is key to making power, having a restricted exhaust will cause higher cylinder temps and detonation.

2- highly recommended. proper cooling when spinning the blower faster is needed. you should at least have a 2nd heat exchanger.

3- your intercooler pump needs to be working to run the car safely stock.

Why are you trying to do the minimum possible? These cars need exhaust to work well, even a ported stock exhaust manifold will be a strong gain over stock if you're running a smaller pulley.

The intercooler system is what keeps the car making power after the first 5 seconds. Why wouldn't you want to do the dual pass, and the pump is critical obviously, without it you have no intercooling.

Agreed with Sharkey and Joe; it's better to get the engine running more efficiently first (exhaust, intercooling mods) before trying to up the boost.
Even better, is making sure everything is running properly first (making sure the intercooler pump is working, engine coolant and intercooler coolant are fresh and maybe have water wetter, etc).

Upping boost on the SS/SC does not mean more power fyi peeps.

I'm at 15psi at 7700 rpm and make 300whp. There are people with 18psi making 40whp less than me.

Efficiency is key. Free flowing head and exhaust is the best place to start.

This, people always try and boast their high boost numbers, I am on a 2.7 and make less than 16psi with my 3 in full exhaust. I have seen people claim "18psi on 2.9" on youtube videos and stuff like the SC is a turbo. Boost goes up with RPM with a SC, turbos usually hold constant; completely different systems.

Anything smaller than a 3.1" is going to heatsoak bad without a Dualpass AND option B.
You will want option B otherwise thats all really a waste because the air will never bleed out.
