need help on building my motor.

so i pretty sure i blew up my motor sat i have zero compression in cylinder 2 and runs really rough also a lot of smoke coming outta the tailpipe. so i was looking into just building it. how much does that roughly cost and what number wise would i be getting out of it im still on the m62 port and police header back exhaust and daul pass stage 3 heat exchnager and 2.8 in pully.

cost depends on what all is broke and what you want to do

Easy 2-3 grand especially if you have no compression. I'm guessing that your piston is destroyed and the sleeves are probably trashed

i wouldnt imagine you're running nearly enough power to blow the motor due to manufacturer weaknesses...Id first find out WHY your motor crapped out so you dont do it again. VS just trying to build one so it doesnt happen again. Style of driving, constant redlining, leaned out (bad tune), etc.

if its your only car, id toss in a stock one, then get an engine stand and a spare block and slowly build it up over time. because your desires and power needs are going to change and youll want to plan it out over time. plus if you take your time you will not be rushed to over look something during your rebuild (supporting mods, etc).

just my .02...but I also just blew my L61 in my 04 cavalier with the same mods you have (im running a Stig ported M62 and LS1 tb though). But my problem was a bad tune and a years worth of hammering my car and racing it on weekends (and i take care of my stuff and dont red line it very often at all). so i feel you! Im dropping an LSJ into it and it should hold plenty for a few years..i hope. lol

yeah i get that but a new lsj is a shit ton of money and i rather have a shop build it and do it right instead of me doing it cause i dont have the time or space to do it myself.
