need a new clutch

Suggestions?

My original clutch lasted 160,000 miles. Until I installed my engine mods. Shortly after, it gave up the ghost. I went with a southbend Stage 3 clutch. It lasted less than 25,000 miles.

So I was going to go with the GMPP upgraded clutch. But I'm having a hard time tracking one down. ZZP is sold out. The dealer can't get a stock one or the GMPP one. They say it's because of the strike, and it could be a few weeks before they get one.

Any suggestions?

Crate Engine Depot. Tom is a great dude and has supported the platform really well for a while now.

They do have the Clutch Upgrade kit in stock. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

Yeah. The issue there is the parts department can't get anything right now due to the strike. Either the regular clutch or the GMPP upgrade. And they don't have an ETA on when they will be available.

And just for giggles, the 911 picked up a bolt in it's tire today.

Car is back together.

I get that supposedly the South Bend Clutch was stronger, and the Aluminum flywheel helped performance by allowing the engine to rev quicker. I can tell the engine is a little slower to rev. BUT I must say, as a daily driver this combination of the stock flywheel and and the GMPP clutch is much better. It's quieter, and just feels much better.

I'm also not convinced the shop that installed the South Bend clutch didn't muck it up. That thing lasted last than 20,000 miles. It was always noisy.
