As for cad drawings, we are trying to see if we can get a drawing of the manifold from GM, if not we'll just have to measure it all out. From there we can get some CAD designs.
sounds like you guys have alot of other things on your hands, probably should of made this thread later down the road since it might be a while

Instead of hacking up a stock manifold, you should get a car in and pull the manifold off of it. Note the mounting points to the head and the supercharger, and get a rough idea where the sensors are located. Also take note of the available space under the hood where the stock IM is located to see if you have extra space if needed.

Then begin to CAD design a plenum that mounts to the Supercharger and contains the Laminova cores. Make sure that you have adiquate volume pre and post cooler. Mate the plenum to 4 runners that are attached to the head via a flange.

Here are a few links to give you an idea:

These each have aspects of what you may want to use. Big Challenge is integrating the PCV and Recirc valves.

once you have a working mock up - test it out, tweak, test again. once ready, get your mock up to a company that does castings and they can figure out a way to mass produce it while sticking to tolerances.

The company you were working on this before with used my car for measurements, cant you just call them up and get them from them? I mean, that was the whole original purpose for letting you guys use my car while I was deployed.

Another nice laminova manifold:

Looked a bit closer to our manifold and the SC mounting. I think that for a good flowing manifold with nice runner length, the SC really should/must be relocated or at least mounted at a different angle...

Yeah, as long as the belt still has proper tension, the sensors can all reach, and the hood can still close

we have taken the manifold off many times for different installs (turbo, TS, dual pass, etc) and we have a good idea of where everything is and where the mounting points are.

As we have mentioned in the original idea post, we want to use all stock mounting points except for the flange to head.

The company we worked with in the past didn't forward any information to us.

Reason we don't want to take anyone's money quite yet is due to low interest.

We are currently working on a few ideas and will post up some drawings.

I don't see how you can say that there is low interest on this "possible" product when you already know that the intake manifold is one of the major chokepoints in the way of making power. People have already expressed heavily in their interest, but your prior methods of business in the past is keeping people from just putting their money on the table.

I am one of the people really interested in this (DD car) but as stated I too am hesitant because so far I haven't been having anything but bad luck.

Jeez... at this rate, I'll be moved, set up my new shop, and do my final test on my IM before this gets off the ground.

I'm interested too. Just not throwing down $100 so you guys can play with it, and if numbers are low we are SOL. Doesn't work that way.

Needless to say, the shop is getting packed up and moved before I get too deep into the testing of this new system.

I've been staring at that image of the intake manifold for about 10 minutes and came up with something. I just talked to my coworker and his dads got a shop we could possibly make a mockup of a new manifold and possibly give it to one of you guys to use the idea. I have a huge interest in the LSJ as well as my L61 so id love to help you guys out. I've got quite a bit of time on my hands right now so i may throw this idea around.

Well.... my hold up now isn't the manifold.... it's fitting the new intercooler in that small ass engine bay.
I thought an external IC would save space... I was slightly mistaken.

it seems like we have space everywhere except right in front of the engine for some reason.

i think just a custom extension of the front end with a special bumper to fit would be a little less drastic
