The green lines are the rpm of the heaton

I think that the Pressure ratio should be calculated a bit different:

Ratio of 1.0 means zero compression, 2.0 the doubled compression of the inlet air.
So in psi (bar's are a bit easier, as that is boost + 1):
Inlet ~14.7 Psi absolute
SC outlet say 15 Psi boost => 15 + 14.7 = 29.7 Psi absolute pressure
Pressure ratio : 29.7/14.7 = ~ 2.0

Yeah...

But I think we all like to know what benefit our SC's will have from a less restrictive manifold. When it is clear to people how far the M62 in stock form (+ IM) is stretched with small pulleys, maybe they see the light...

so when is rebel going to be able to show a mock design to everyone? I haven't really seen what the manifold looks like removed from the engine bay.

figured someone would clarify, been a while.

im going to edit the PR of my prior post with this.

ok double check the math, however my prior math may be wrong based off my calculations when i thought the eaton was around 485 CFM@ 13,500 RPM .... i seem to now have 450ish CFM @ 12 PSI @ 13,500 RPM

then again how im looking at the graph could be wrong.... im in and out of this forum atm due to work so correct me if i slip something.

oh n/m i was looking at the max of the blower regardless of psi.

Someone do the math for a 2.6" pulley, reving to 8000 rpm, and running ~16 psi. I'm interested to see.

im only guestimating since you have project the chart with your setup but im guessing around 730....and your effeciency in the 20ish percent bracket.

7 on the list

WOW, 8 pages in only a few days.

OK, here's the thing, we can all sit behind our computers doing calculation, solving equations, doing some Matlab and FEA (some eng talk for you eng's).

or

WE simply make one up and see how she runs, we're not sending man to Mars so lets keep it simple.

If you think it's going to benefit and got $100 to spare, send us a PM. If you got doubts, sit on the sidelines but you will pay a higher price in the end.

Ones who pay a deposit will be included in the design if they wish or have technical knowledge to spare.

As for using copper, it's not because it's that much better than Al but simply because we have a company that is close, that can make it and is setup for copper/tin. We will check to see how Dexcol will work with the copper.

As to my 2 cents, we built a turbo cobalt with the laminova's removed and it pulls real hard, we'll dyno it soon, but I can say it feels much more responsive than the turbo cobalt with the laminovas in.

If you have specific questions, please PM us, otherwise let's keep the thread on track.

Thanks everyone for the interest, we already got 7 on the list.

yep, i say to go with what works as opposed to what we can get our hands on easier. dont set your self up for failure.

Just be carteful or you will have people coming back.

When DEX-COOL was released they specifically said not to change over older cars that had copper radiators. It will last for a while but the solder and copper will begin to break down because of the dex-cool. If you going to do copper which I pack 100%, I would offer advice on a coolant switch over for that system, maybe mostly water and a little of the norm antifreeze to help keep the pump and other metals in good shape. Water is going to give you better cooling as well

no no, your added check the first page

with 27881 members on here 20 people is less than a tenth of a percent, we're not asking every one to invest but a very minor amount

we will build one and test it, if all goes to plan we will start going down the list and making them up and doing core exchanges, hopefully we will have 5 or so mani's by then so we can fab more at a time. So the money will be due when we start on the specific customer's manifold.
