Sorry I'm not going to throw money at something that doesnt exist and doesnt even have any pictures or real details, tell me when its finished and then tell me the results, dont ask us to pay your R&D costs.

i think its a good idea. it shows the company that people are interested and shows they are willing to pay. it also shows us that the company knows whats wrong and wants to help us with it. i hope 20 people jump on this. and i hope it makes stupid huge gains

**** i wonder if the length of this thread is deterring people from getting in on this. I find it hard to believe 20 people dont have an extra 100 bucks.

seriously, instead of buying custom shift boots and interior lights, you'd think people would be all over this.

id be on it but im building my own. so it would be stupid to put up 100 bucks on this and then not use it or buy it when the 100 bucks will go to all the parts in mine

**DING DING DING**

What if there are little to no gains, because the design is flawed? Do we get our money back? Can't you get a business loan to build up a new product? $2,000 is peanuts for a performance shop that has a potential market of 20,000 members. 1% of us purchase it, and that's 200 IM's @ $900~/ea. I don't see why we should put our own money down so that your company can benefit. Technically, we benefit because we have more horsepower/efficient IM's...but I've never seen a business run that way. Plus, there are other members that still need refunds for the TS.

However, I'll buy the finished product if it puts down good numbers. I've been waiting for a new IM to come out.

that first quote by rebel was in response to me being deployed, and not able to take off the intake manifold, so don't take things out of context.

second, by helping with R&D, the ones who contribute get a low cost final product, and also, we show solid interest in the product, Rebel needs to know there's a market for this, and by people helping with R&D, they get a solid feel for the demand.

Rebel is not a huge shop, and they do a lot to help us out, i don't mind sending 100 measly dollars their way to help out with something i would love to see on my car.

I agree with pjk91, RAW is the ONLY company I've ever seen that takes a downpayment before they even start on R&D. They should already have a design drawn up and should have introduced it also. This is the same reason the twinscrew ended in disaster.

Why the hell can't these guys just get a business loan like everyone else? Do the R&D, build the damn intake manifold. Show the results. Then the buyers will come.

LOL, it's pwns. And obviously, that's what they are trying to do. Get a bunch of 100 buck loans from everyone on the forums, if it falls through, oh well. Same scenario with the twinscrew. I am not one that will give out loans though. I will buy a finished proven product though.

i havent taken a dime of my customers money yet, I use all of my small business loans from the beginning to r&D the parts and get them out. I have my own test cars and everything.

Not one dime of R&D money has come from a customer.

Unless the customer comes to me and says, can you do this, how much will you charge hourly for the design engineering and for the prototype, then I give them a price and they hand me a check. That happens two but two totally diff scenarios.

Im agree with everyone, the customers shouldnt be funding the R&D

I wouldnt even have such an issue with it if it was a proven company, look at the whole twin screw thing, has anyone ever gotten one yet that even works?

Then the "proof" is dynos to 5500 rpm, if you cant produce a product that works to 7000 its worthless and that goes for this thing also. I sincerely hope a working product can be made, I'd buy it but I need to see proof first then talk to me about money.

thats pretty much why im not throwing in the 100 bucks, it was either this or WOT box and since that thing has already been proven with pics/time slips and so on, thats where my mula went

id chuck in R&D for this product if it wasnt so rigid and showed the engineering schematics. Your R&D means we are investors. You start using aluminum and i will cover the cost to switch....

barring i can see the CAD dynamics.

I would suggest copper heat sinks + aluminum fins

copper is the best conductor but only the most effective if there is a constant state of heat....

because our temps vary so much aluminum cools faster....
