Noisey belt tensioner

Ive noticed on cold start ups...Like when the car has been sitting overnight im getting a tick kinda sound.

Ive listened to it numerous times and it seems to be coming from the belt tensioner. Is this a common thing to make noise when cold? It makes the noise for maybe 5 - 10 mins after start up and then after that is like normal.

That being said if it is common do I have to buy a new one or can I replace the pulley? or just the bearings?

Where is the best place to pick up these parts?

Thanks..

I hate noises!

People that have had that problem replaced the timing chain tensioner.
That tick could also be a bad belt.

If you really wanna go and replace the serp belt tensioner, replace the whole thing.
There's a couple for sale in the classifieds.

There is alot of belt "dust" if you want to call it that all over....maybe its time for a new one?

I am changing my timing tensioner but I dunno if thats what the issue is. The noise is defiantly coming from the belt tensioner part of the motor not the rear.
