Between the Borla and Corsa Touring which is the quiestest? I'd like to be able to get an exhaust and SS-style hood with my refund money...

No but I hate the ones that do it LOUDLY. I've heard some that you could barely notice it, and some (Corsa on SRT-4) that sounded absolutely horrible.

I went ahead and ordered the Corsa Touring with turbotechracing.com. Anyone else have this exhaust? I've only heard the sport version and the touring is supposed to be quieter so I got my fingers crossed.

personally i like the magnaflow better then all the others And just like it was posted here before wouldn't 2.25" exhuast be to restrictive for later mods? 2.5" seems to be ideal and tehn if you want and you're gonna go serious hp i guess 3" would be the best bet. But like i said personally the magnaflow exhuast is best bang for buck.

just got my gmpp exhaust in today. i ordered the touring kit through my dealer. it cost $592.00 after the 6% sales tax so it really wan't bad. did the install the second i got home. i wanted to keep the factory exhaust in one piece but there is just no way. the exhaust sounds great. it is louder than stock and under acceleration it is real loud. its a real low tone real happy. im going to get a sound clip but im not any good at puting stuff like when it comes to computers. i can't even figure out how to put a picture under my signature so bare with me.

What is different Touring vs Sport? Does it use larger mufflers?

nothing physically looks different i think theres more packing in the muffler. i wanted a lower toned muffler. ive allways been into the v8's more than four cylinders and i definatly got the sound i was looking for.

There is no packing in any Corsa muffler. The two systems are acoustically tuned differently.

Any performance exhaust worth owning is going to have some popping and carrying on after a downshift. If you are going to go through the trouble to tuning that sort of activity out, acoustically or mechanically, you are going to add a hefty amount of flow restriction and reduce performance. And, if you are going to do that you might as well stick with the stock exhaust which pretty much takes care of the job.

Exclamation Corsa for less than $600 at gmpartsdirect.com

I wanna announce that GMParts Direct (gmpartsdirect.com) now has the Corsa exhaust systems for less than $600. I have continuosly bugged the crap outta Corsa about the sound clips and they have told me that they have them all recorded and half of them formatted for their site; keep checking for the official Corsa sound clips (www.corsaperf.com). I also had to bug the crap out of GM parts direct to update their site for us. After an e-mail earlier today it was immediately updated.

I am right now leaning towards CTI header, and custom 3 inch with a borla mufler.

Whats everyone thing of 3 inch on our car. I am still thinkong it is to big, but for more power later on it should be fine, right?

3" exhaust is kinda overrated. Its only really needed for high output turbo cars IMO. there have been people pushing 400HP+ with 2.5" exhaust with no problem at all.

first off i do not have a cobalt i have a ion redline..... i run the cti exhaust now... i must say 3" wise the best out there... his welds look awsome and very clean setup... as far as noise goes about all you can ask for in a 3" setup.... loud is about it.... i ran a 2.5 magnaflow before. i dont "feel" a whole lot of difference. in the upper rpms is where i feel the only real difference i do feel... but i plan on doing a lot of thing later maybe even ditching the s/c for a full turbo setup... so i went 3" for a reason.... dont know if this helps but hope it does..... i am just trying to find a way to quite this 3" setup down a bit now.. its way to loud for me at this point.... ***** at cti and myself are working with different resonators and poss mufflers if we have to go there but hope to get the noise down on the 3" setup some... i have also installed the aa setup and its just as loud.... it from the 3" size.... not a whole lot at that point you can do without it being super restrictive which negates the fact of doing a 3" setup in the first place.. ill keep you posted on the noise issue... and the fix...
