anyone using an LNF manifold w/ upgraded turbo (heard on LSJ it hits the coolant pipe in the rear)? are most of you guys running an external wastegate? what about oil feeds and taps what did everyone do for that? and boost controllers does everyone rely on just their wastegate springs?

I havent seen anyone using an lnf manifold on an lsj. the manifold i run doesnt hit the coolant pipe, neither does the ones ive seen in other turbo lsj setups. Am runng internal wastegate which is set to 16psi. for your oil lines, is a must to tap your oil pan so you can conect the drain from the turbo to the oilpan. On the oil feed line we use a bolt that conects on the top of the block right under the turbo manifold, take the bolt out and use an oil fitting in order to run the oil feed line through there.

thanks there jonathan that info is helpful.

what size hose/line did you use for the oil feed and drain for the turbo, is it hard line or braided?

jonathan923 08-12-2011 02:51 PM

no problem man. i used a stainless steel line for the oil feed as for the drain line i just have a regular braided hose. works good so far.

noice!!!! go ahead and count me in as one of the slow lsj turbo cars aswell.

and while we have this thread up. how the F%*K do you get the damn belt tight. i am starting to get a squeeky belt and its bugging the hell out of me.

the only way i could think of doing it is putting the belt on with the tensioner on loose. the i push it down as hard as i can and tightened it. is this wrong lol?????

BLAZIN07SS 08-12-2011 03:11 PM

you shouldn't have to loosen anything on the tensioner. the tensioner gets bolted into one place and you should just have to use a pry bar to loosen some tension off of it to slide the belt on

Phyrric 08-12-2011 03:13 PM

I shall be a member of this thread soon depending how much I can milk out of student loans when already having florida prepaid :cssNET:

hawlyns711 08-12-2011 03:18 PM

damn you florida residentls, lucky SOBs!!! my cousing in that area rub it into me, probably too much.

as for turbo why did everyone remove their m62 and not just keep it pushing boost?

cause a turbocharger is a much more efficient compressor

BumbleBee 08-12-2011 03:33 PM

I'll have to post some pics soon, cool thread idea.

Also, Jonathan how long have you been running that setup?

jonathan923 08-12-2011 04:04 PM

ive been running this setup since Feb this year, not one issue so far thank god lol. ive been running it strong and raced alot of people with it. only thing is see affecting me in the near future is the clutch, which am running a stock lsj clutch. So yea i think it has lasted pretty long :)

Chevycobaltss3 08-12-2011 04:06 PM
