Im really thinking I may be able to wire it in where my old IC pump was and I can control it with HPT...

New set-up will be simple. ZZP Mani, PTE Billet 5557, Recirc Downpipe.

I'm not going to do anything with the pump. That's what I was getting at. You can have it if you want.

You can put it where the old IC Pump was... but you just that it is quite a bit larger than the stock I/C pump. The plug should actually be the same... but I would run it off of a Hobbs switch set for something like 5-10psi. You don't want it running all the time. Which is basically the extent of your control of it via HPT.

Because of his turbo manifold. Positions the turbo in such a way that its basically impossible.

Ill take it lol. I have a Hobbs switch coming for my new valve so I can set up a line from that to activate the SAI.

As far as control from HPT, I was wanting to be able to activate it prior to a pull, then a few moments after the pull shut it off. Im tired of the smoke in my exhaust sitting in traffic after driving for a bit, its quite embarrassing. So I could turn the pump on and off during those times.

Chris, Ill have to shoot sum pics over for you to take a look. The exhaust manifold clocks the turbo to be perpendicular to the back of my block. The compressor housing faces the block with about 4" from block to compressor inlet. The only filter Ive seen that could work is the HKS style but from my measurements itll hit my intermediate shaft. SO... stuck with running a mesh screen/meshing over the inlet.

Ah ok that makes sense. I just thought when whoever was creating that they would have left enough room for an intake. Is it just because you have a beast turbo? Has anyone with this header been able to fit? I know there is only a couple out there.

as blkwdoss told me the other day you can order it from napa. get the part number for a 2.2 belt. the change the first 2 numbers for "05" to "06" that determines the number of ribs on the belt. It should fit perfectly

hmmm...im sure blkwdoss will be on later and can sort out my issue with my statement, as im sure others can help with this belt issue. I too am building my own turbo swap and that was going to be my route for a belt. if all else fails, i wonder if the tensioner/belt combo from the saab 9-3 turbo would work. Those were the "original" turbo lsj if i remember correctly. Just food for thought.

I used a 2.2 belt with no issue. You are using a 2.2 alternator or welded the pulley on the lsj right?

Put belt conditioner on it, see if it helps. You hear it slipping? I got an 06 even though it shouldn't matter.
