you should remove the breather filter and run a catch can

or remove the breather line and run just the filer

either way the filter still wont because the pcv in the head

he installed it correctly its just the rest of it that isent done right

to run that breather you need to plug the pcv port in the head and plug the valve cover and the intake

Maybe the should make a device that reads knock..... hmmmm... that way you could keep an eye on things.. and like I said, temps are pretty much under control

zrated89 04-07-2012 03:18 PM

knock can happen and sky rocket out of control faster then the pcm can pull timing

zrated89 04-07-2012 03:32 PM

i will agree most people shouldnt run that small of a pulley. Hell on my 12.1 pass the dipstick did come up a **** hair, but that was back to back pulls. Comp is still perfect across the board and before i do the 2.6 i will have a CORRECTLY setup breather setup with a catch can. But in the end i really need to port the head add cams and valve springs with the balance shaft delete and call it a day, BUT if i do that i will need to weld a roll cage in the car and since shes my DD really aint feeling it lol

Pardon this double post ..
But as for right now, a 2.6/tvs makes for a decent car for a 17 year old to drive back and forth to high school so I'm content :) ...... for now

<still needs an interceptor or 3

now so that im not just whoring this thread some tvs related info

Unfinished TVS power(i miss it sooo much!!! :cussing:) compared to Bone Stock with a Raised Limiter(TQ Mngt is untouched which is why the boost drops off)

http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/7...sstock1.th.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7...stock10.th.jpg

same logs just one has almost no smoothing, the other has the most smoothing

stock feels so disgustingly slow now i hate it. 70hp and 60tq is a huge difference :(

Bluelightning 04-07-2012 07:56 PM

When are you putting your TVS back on Rootbeer?

RooTBeeR 04-07-2012 09:58 PM

when i get an income and replace the bearings

and depending on that income, maybe after i get a single pass IM and an phenolic spacer
