I think that would be more then enough. If your base is 58 then your actual FP under boost should should be about 78-80psi which Should be plenty. If you have to run it that high to get enough fuel then upgrading your pump would be a good idea.

I would recommend starting at a base of 50psi. That is where I plan on starting...I guess we will see. I want to take a long drive just to get this dino fuel out of my tank!

let me know how that works out for you
just disconnected the line on the rail and jump out the relay lol

Well the 06+ LSJs have a pretty decent fuel pump. I plan on running a 2.7" on my TVS, E85 and RSFS. I am pretty sure I should be okay.

Does anyone else have any input? I will be running E70 winter blend shortly. I will keep this thread updated.

I replaced the stock 05 pump with the Walbro - running 2.7", E85, but went BRFS instead of RSFS.

well it isn't everyday you hear a high hp turbo car wanting to change to a sc. usually its my turbo>all kinda thing.

EXsoccer1921 03-28-2012 08:48 PM

depends if i switch fuel systems or not. if i go with 190s and a dual pump setup then yes i'll stay turbo cause then i'll be able to run about 35-40psi on alcohol. which would be 650+ if not 700. but if i keep the current setup then i'll debate on going with the lysholm at 500-550..

550sc>591tc.

TStone 03-28-2012 08:52 PM

don't even think about it.. go the sc route !

EXsoccer1921 03-28-2012 09:04 PM

well i'm already over a hundred horsepower higher than that best sc numbers... so if i redo the fuel system i'm def staying turbo.

I would love to see a 550whp blowered balt. You may make more power with the turbo yes but you would definitely be different supercharged.

That I do not know, tuning gurus handled fuel and tuning. I'll ask though.

you all are trying to run to high of a base pressure start mid 30s but dont go past mid 40s

yeah thats what i'm debating. if the difference between having 200whp more being supercharged, or having a wide ass power band at only say 500whp, is worth it.

Wheels aren't necessary. You already have wheels. Get cams!

I still got about half a tank... I should fill up with E85 and try a 50/50 blend for the heck of it.

Madlinx 03-29-2012 10:44 AM

Getting on the dyno next week. Kinda pumped and kinda nervous. I don't wanna see numbers lower than the ones I've fabricated in my head.
