No its not all the same. Each synthetic oil is its own formulation by the manufacturer.

I use Amsoil.

I use Redline oil, works just as good as any others and they have a **** loud of it at a performance shop here in edmonton where i get military discount. My engine also recommends Mobile 1, no difference at all.

That warranty law says they can't
Because Mobile 1 is a brand name THey cant void warranty because of brand names...
If you use Valvoline Fully senthetic 5W-30 they still can't void

But they CAN void if you use something other then Synthetic 5W-30 that meets the same requirments as Mobile 1...

Like if you use Mobil1 10W-30 theycan void.
But
they would have to PROVE that it was the oil that caused whatever happened to happen.

Please for the love of god tell me you're not thinking about putting regular oil in your car. That **** doesn't have the same molecular properties as full synthetic oil. In other words, it doesn't have the same cleaning, lubrication, or cooling properties as full synthetic. That **** will break down faster than an anorexic chick at a Krispy Kreme shop.

I know the bulk oil seems like it's cheaper than full synthetic, and you're probably trying to save a penny here and there, but trust me....you wouldn't receive a blood tranfusion with a used needle just because you're insurance company says it'd be cheaper.

yeah, well.... make sure to read up on your synthetics: Most of your brands may be, but they are produced from Group IV stock= dino oil.

Others like AMSoil are pure synthetic. That's what I use... just a preference, not a nut-hugger. I used Mobil1 for years before I switched.... and all of these are superior to conventional oil.

And don't go by the 3,000 mile oil change myth (using synthetics), unless you like pissing money away.

When I had my SCSS, I'd let the DIC get to around 20% before I really considered changing it. It's all personal preference.

Right now I'm running AMSoil in my s2k (no DIC ) and getting close to 9,000 miles and it's just now starting to turn dark (yes I know color has nothing to do with it). But it's close to 7 months old and with the temperature dropping I feel it's time to change it out..... and I redline mine out too= 8k

ok i got a crazier question if any1 is willing to answer w/o pestering my wee little mind for it..... how do i go about the oil filter change??! i used to own a 04 fucus, (fml) then i jumped ship to the SSsc(yay!) and oil is bout ready to change, how do i go bout this oil filter? do i change it? does the dealer? do i need a special tool? does it need to get changed every time i do my oil?, i feel kinda dumb asking, cuz i used to change my filter w/ the fucus everytime i changed my oil, and that was an easy unscrew and rescrew on filter... whats up w/ this new contraption?

Its just a cartridge type filter compared to the old canisters. Its not bad at all I just use an extension to loosen it and then reach down and grab it. Its underneath your intake hose. I find it to be pretty easy. Oil change myself in about 20 minutes longest part is draining the oil.
