Oil leak on timing cover

So i found a pretty good leak coming from on my timing cover. I believe it is from the access cover for my water pump. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how i should repair it. Is there a gasket i can just replace or just use RTV and make a seal?

Also im a new member. Hello!

Welcome.

If it is really leaking from the water pump access, it's a simple gasket and will be easy to change. I've never heard of those randomly springing a leak, but that doesn't mean it cant happen. Especially if it has been taken off before.

Just bought the car last month and the owner claimed it was a new crate engine put in by Chevy but couldn’t provide receipts. So I’m not sure. Any idea where I could find a gasket for it? I couldn’t find it when I googled it.
