One more GMPP exhaust question

Just one more...
The clamps that are used to put the GMPP system together.... how tight are they supposed to be? Tight enough so that there is no leakage, or so tight that the ends are touching and the nut is all the way down the bolt?

Sorry, I'm just paranoid that something might not have been done right.

Well, you obviously don't want any leakage. I would say get it fairly good and tight, but don't put all your force into it...ya know...you are only going to have to trust yourself.

Yeah, i got it down to where there was no leaking, then I did 1/2 to 3/4 turn tighter... not as tight as possible, but i think its good.

They recommend I believe 22lbs of torque. I tightened mine till it didn't leak roughly 22lbs.

yeah i really need to get a torque wrench

When I installed mine, the directions specified the required amount of torque so that made it easy, but seeing as you dont have a torque wrench then yea that coulda been a problem haha
