Exclamation Only hitting 10.5 or so boost...help???

Hi all, the other night it was about 75 degrees outside, I had just hit 2nd gear and nailed it, I topped out at 10.5 or so boost, this is all according to the boost gauge, which is the original stock one. I tried later again and still the same issue. This has been going on for the past month or so. I used to always hit a solid 12, sometimes seemed to almost be more during the winter cold nights.

I have a 07 ss/sc with 19k miles, I purchased it new. The only mod I have is the GMPP header which was installed 5 or so months ago. I changed the air filter to another stock replacement about 3k miles ago, and at that time I did clean the TB, really wasn't even all that dirty. Other then that all is stock, car has never even been in the shop for mechanical problems. I really don't drive the car hard, never been to the track, just get on it once in a blue moon.

EDIT: I did put on the SS/TC lower grill back in March, but even after that I never noticed a decrease in boost.

Thanks,
Will

That's around what I hit when I was stock, weather factors into it a lot. You will see another pound or so in cooler temps.

I remember only hitting 10psi in 2nd gear when bone stock. You don't reach the 12.5 until 3rd gear

Agreed, on a stock balt with stock tune the computer is going to limit 2nd gear boost. In the summer time when it is hot as hell I wouldn't expect to see full boost even at the top of third.

Ya I swear I used to hit a solid 12 all day long. Except for the hot CA summer days we get. Yesterday it was close to 100 here and I was able to hit a little over 10. But yet again last night when it was around 73 still not much better at all, probably a good 11.

What's your temps like out there?
