Option B Problem.. Tank Fills up.

Having this problem. See video. It should explain the issue pretty well.

Car is off the fluid flows down and fills the HE up... Car is on(pump is on) HE drains down some and OPT B. tank fills up to top which is thus replacing the air which is then going into the top of the HE.

Flow of pump is correct. No kinks, no leaks. Plumbing is correct. Mods are ZZP Stealth(no stock HE), Dual Pass, Phenolic.

The only "problem" I can find is that my IC pump is plumbed to pull fluid from the HE and push to the Manifolds dualpass. Can this cause this kind of issue? I can understand why it would but I can't believe that it would.

Just a thought but did you make sure you switched the laminova cores around when you installed the dual pass.

The laminivas are correct. It wasn't doing this until I added the airbleeder.

I had this issue. Swap the in and out at the pump. It should be heat exchanger out to middle of dual pass. Then top and bottom of dual pass go to the pump sticking sideways. The pump facing up go to inlet of heat exchanger. Opt b connects to a T or Y where the top and bottom of dual pass are plumbed together that lead to the pump nipple sideways.

You need to have the "T" going to the option b tank plumbed into the suction side of the pump. It wants to use it as a flow through tank the way it's set up right now

I'm flushing the dex cool today and changing the pump set-up/orientation. Will update.

Do you have the .040 orifice installed in the bleed line?

you can see the fluid being pulled from the holding tank threw the bleeder into the H/E... Should be the other way around.

The orifice is installed. So... I've plumbed to the EXACT same was as the diagram above. IC pump is working, and it bleed air the correct way. It is no longer filling up the OPT B.... HOWEVER...

Cruising IAT2's are 110* Any help here?

If I pop the cap on my ZZP Stealth while car is on it overflows like a **** since the pump is flowing it that way I assume.

Also, there is a constant flow of coolant through the bleeder line.

Mods: ZZP Stealth, Dual Pass, Phenolic, Opt B.

This is worse than before I even fucked with the Opt. B BULL ****... Getting tired of this crap.

Grabbing a video right meow.

When you have the car running there should be constant flowing of fluid into the option b tank from the 3/4" hose but not filling up the option tank. You should see fluid flowing on the back of the option b tank.

Remove that hose I see with the gray clamp. Make the opt b direct to it as well as to the IC pump horizontal. You have an unnecessary hose connection

There should be no flow into the option b tank from the 3/4 inch hose as its not a flow through setup! Sorry Panther lol

It is simply an overflow for expanding fluid. So you do not have the stock h/e at all? That may be your issue. My iat's are 20 degrees apart when cruising. I will see 130-140 degree iat2 temps when driving in traffic but the quickly go down when you get a nice uninterrupted stretch of road.

It's not going to keep you iat2 at ambient as the supercharger is using recycled air at idle and it just keeps heating it up while its idling if that makes sense

That's what I was getting at its just for the overflow for the extra coolant added to the system, I might have worded it wrong lol!! It's all good

I've been running Opt B. since 2009 w/o one issue.

Take a step back from it, and calm down. We will help you get it figured out.

Plumbing wrong. Take a deep breath like 07 said. Bad news is stealth had no bleed port and it's about the same gain as an ordinary FMIC

Watch the second video. I explain the new set-up. Plumbing should be correct to an exact. My stealth does have a bleeder port if you watch the second video. If I can get this running properly then I'm hoping to prove that on a legit set-up it is only slightly better than stock plus a S3... But we shall see.

Powell, watch that second video I explain and show everything. I'm confused on what I've plumbed wrong. Looked at it with a few local LSJ's as well. Everything seems perfect.

I did watch is get a TON of air out when I had first start-up with the new plumbing.
