how? lol. if someone in a completely stock cobalt beats it way harder than someone with a tune then its bound to give out at one point. Unless you believe that these cars are perfect right out of the factory and will not have any mechanical issues whatsoever lol. engines give. the only thing you can do about it is take care of them. owner obviously did not and his engine couldnt take it anymore

 

Why do Honda kids blow so many engines? Keeping high revs and being stupid. How do kids break **** and blow engines up? Treating the thing they are using bad. It's fact of life...

 

so basically if you drive your car to hard on an aggressive tune and it goes boom its the owner's fault. thats what im getting out of this so far.


also, that essentially means if one were to decide to do a road course (beats the **** out of your car, anyone who road races knows) the car would probably not make it since it will be in WOT most of the time and taking a lot of abuse vs a freeway pull.

 

Yes, that's why I stick to only GMS1 because its the only tune I trust when I run on Road America. Unless you are running a really conservative aftermarket tune, I would be sereiously concerned about popping the motor. You're basically WOT for 20 minutes at a crack. After the first time on the track with my TurboXS downpipe, I was under the car changing the oil and noticed that one track event colored the downpipe bright blue all the way down to about the start of the cat. That's how much heat is generated when you stand on the throttle for a mile, take 2 turns, and stand on the throttle for another mile.

A 10 second highway roll is much much easier on the engine than spending 20 minutes road racing.

i beat the crap out my car when it was stock and when it was tuned..... i am not a young kid.... i am just honest when i say i beat the crap out my car..... guess what.... i have over 150 000 km with 2 diff cars now..... no major issues... i am sorry man i think personally a tuner can set up a car to be aggressively safe.... thats when exp, knowledge, and accountability comes into play when we talk about tuners.... before any harsh responses come my way from tuners.... please remember i am a customer...... i am always taking notes on who is producing desirable results...... i am also in the market for a better tune....

 

You make tunes according to your driving. I've made tunes for people who do circuit, drag and etc. the point here is the kid asked for a aggressive boost file. He treated the car horribly always wot and getting wrong fuel.. I made the file for what the kid asked ... Plain and simple

 

I dont use base gas cause I know it dont play well with my tune....when I drove through new mexico they had 90 oct at best...i had no choice but to put it in but I tell you what i wasnt romping on my car as I drove through there. Its common sense. No car is in invincible....an aggressive tune put in the right situation WILL eff your car up.

So if they want a track file, I have them go to the track and log, if they want a street file we so the street. Apparently you like putting words in my mouth.
