pick your tuner wisely
I already explained that. And why would I go near a dick I don't like? You make no sense. He isn't too bad by himself. It's you nutswingers who are the biggest pests.
All you do is shout his praises never bringing anything valuable to the table.
And I happen to know for a fact he tuned it. So go choke on dick.
The reason this motor blew IS detonation. It's not a matter of opinion. And detonation, as we all know, comes from the tune.
Unless he ran it on 87 (nope) or ran without meth when tuned for it (not that either)
This car was simply tuned improperly.

maybe it wasn't the tune totaly...maybe it was the beating it was taking from the sound of it this guy ran it kinda hard..u can't expect a stock engine to run on the edge all the time...with out some kinda support..like meth or nos or even e85 to bring the charge temps down and even the combustion chamber temp down..
the proof is in the pics

If John is not saying the name, then stop trying to assume he is blaming James. All the defensive mudslinging is retarded. John will say the tuner if he ever feels like it.
He may have meant LNF GMS1.

are you sure he didn't put in some lower octane gas??? or have some sort of fueling problem. cuz idk why ANY tuner would send somebody away with a **** tune. For some, its their jobs and form of income. There is no reason for them to give **** tunes when they know it would fall back on them. To me, something else is wrong here that probably isn't tune related
its not octane or a fuel system problem
i was hoping to to spark a discussion with tuners inputs on what is a safe what isent and so fourth so that maybe some people starting out could learn from others and others who have been tuning may learn some new stuff about tuning also it was never intended to be a mud throwing **** talk disussion just hopes of getting more tuning information out there for all to learn from

yea you knew that wasn't going to happen like that lol
you have been here long enough to know this was gonna be a **** throwing discussion

its not aboutpointing fingers
if the tune is good and has the correct oh **** margins acounted for the engine will not have problems
i find that hard to believe i know people still rocking gmstg2 with over 100k of abuse on the clock and counting
the proof is in the pics

Im gonna go with the fact that he probably drove the **** outta this car. Not that i blame him. Thats why we have SS's and modify the cars....to drive aggressively. But if i had to guess...something non-tune related happened.Like shitty fuel was put in and still went WOT. Or went WOT at a stupid time...example: going up an on ramp, 5th gear at 55mph and mashing the gas
I was actually wanting to learn from this thread. Like what caused this? What are safe afrs while driving when tuned? what do i need to look out for if I were to have a bad tune? Idk why people respond to ignorant post...the main problem with people **** talking is people responding to them. Just ignore them and worry about what the thread is really about.

That kind of bearing doesn't come from a one time
Shot of something going wrong like bad gas. That is from repeated and continuos detonation.
As far as lnf tuning in general, I don't know more than any other lsj tuner.
But those bearings hav been beat up worse than just one shot from what I can see in the pics.

I guess im not even sure what it would take for bearings to look like that. Wouldnt that be more of a dirty install? Lack of knowledge on my part i guess.
But as for the detonation and rings popping. Shitty gas and some WOT...doesn't take long. Especially if the car was being ripped on in "non-ideal" times/gears/rpms.

u wouldnt be lying? Yeah sorry I dont ******* believe u asked the owner, id be surprised if u even knew who the owner is. U started out speculating who it was and now somehow u magically know once I called u out on it, bullshit per and simple.
ill take an engine that can go past 100K whille beating on it over an extra 10-20whp anyday. lol
If you think about it, the only difference from a aggressive tune and "conservative" wouldnt be much if you were to race your own car from a roll. (if that was possible that would be awesome wouldnt it?)

I've been tuned by CCSS3 and I feel much more comfortable with Term than CCSS3. I've had 1 bad experience with him then went back to Trifecta then went back to CCSS3 after K04+ for an okay experience, but with a .80-.82 lambda (super rich) tune. Not saying he's a bad tuner but my peace of mind was never there with him. I always questioned him. he's a good guy IMO but our personalities were different, I'm more paranoid and like to feel secure and with him he was more like trust me I know what I'm doing and for me he never earned it. My tune could have been fine, I'm no tuner, but how it drove was bad. Terms tune drives smooth and to me that's how I like it. Plus my fans aren't constantly running. I just prefer Term.
If he did tune this car well for me it's a scary thought but if not then its the last I'll think about it. I'm not here to feed a fire but I just wanna share my experience
