That's what I would have expected... I was 107-114 today @ 95F outside. My temporary Heat exchanger location isn't helping matters. It's deflecting air to the condenser / Radiator

Idk that is pretty damn good. I haven't seen much better steady state than 15-20 over. I don't think you have much room to improve as far as steady state cruising temperatures go.

My 110-115 is on a 2.7 pulley. I have 2 heat exchangers, dual pass and option b.

I will be damn close to ambient for a decently long time and it will creep up slowly and for short trips (less than 30 minutes) my IATs will be about 10-15 over ambient but like on a 2 to 3 hour trip my IAT2 temps stabilize at about 20 degrees over ambient. Before I added the second H/E it stabilized at 30 degrees over ambient.

TVS on 2.9" pulley with opt. b, dual pass, phenolic spacer, ZZP S3 front mount H/E, and LSJ stock H/E.

I'm on the same set up as you basically except 2.7 pulley. And I don't have that spacer.

I didn't have my IAT2 temp sensor/gauge combo before I had the phenolic spacer but wish I could have compared. I know that my manifold and supercharger stay much cooler to the touch under the hood. They are now warm when they used to get HOT.

Hey guys this car belongs to my buddy on here his name is Kevin however his forum name is 315SS. He runs his 06LSJ on time attacks, he just ran the gridlife here at mid Ohio & did well. The fan does nothing for his IA2 temps but it does lower his blower temp by around 10%

& just to add to the discussion the only thing that I'm currently running is just the ZZP HE in parallel with the OEM IC & with the new pump that I just installed I'm running 13-15% above ambient at cruising temp & that's even on 90% days !
I just revived my dual pass & option b in the mail this week & cant wait to see what that will do !

Is he trying to extend the life of the blower or something or what is his goal with that?

No idea who's car this is, the validity of installing a fan over the blower, what else is done, but thought this looked neat and figured i'd share for discussion.

I've got videos of the car @ idle 3 minutes without & 3 minutes with the fan on, with the infrared thermometer going right to left from throttle body to pulley the actual blower temps are around -25* cooler with the fan on over the rotor pack & -10* cooler over he snout with the fan on. Newest cooling mod I've fabricated & installed.

Welded 2 3/4 fittings on the left side of the intake manifold, Coolant goes in the left, out the zzp dual pass end plate on the right, into a stainless steel manifold where the 3 exit lines meet up with the overflow resovoir (right side) & into the ic pump (left side)

jbaugh, is itsnt mated directly hard up against the blower because the draw from the fan needs somewhere to go. Otherwise Air will start blowing back away from the fan. I have Velcro on left & right side to allow the draw somewhere to flow.

hgt, if there was a shortage of fans to be had at my place. Then maybe yes it would be a waste of a good fan. But there is no shortage as the pic below shows

i use in all at once, zzp stealth heat exchanger, zzp dual pass s3 heat exchanger, zzp phenolic manifold Spacer, zzp 1/2" supercharger Spacer, zzp oversized radiator, custom plumbing w/ online ice box & dei titanium wrap, alumized wraps, titanium sleeves & many more cooling mod additoons

I've had people see my pics on Facebook and ask me to put together a blower fan setup for them, & pay me for the "kit" another few have enquired about purchasing an intercooler manifold & plumbing set up from me .

on my car, I've changed the washer fluid resovoir into an ice box & added another pump 😉🤐🏎

At the end, 7.75" turbonetics velocity funnel

7.75" velocity stack - 4" coupler - spectre 6.75" inline filter housing & internal air filter - 4"-3.5" reducer coupler - ottp 3.5" cold air intake

Hopefully my blower having a blower is now validated , the above mentioned mods are just some "one of a kind" or in house mods I've designed & fabricated up in the my shop....

extending the life of the blower wasn't the goal although I'll take it

goal is to keep the blower cooler while running 26psi of boost wot racing 2+ mile road coarses or sitting in line at the drag strip, also an attempt to reduce heat soak of any sort by eliminating the hot air under the hood.

My car last year without the ice box, stainless manifold, 4 core 1 pass fabricated intake manifold was running 5-8* under ambient at cruising speeds on the regular.
Goal for this year with all the new intercooling modifications is to be as close to or less than ambient as possible @ wot for as long as possible 😎

My comment was partially based on the statement from you or your buddy that said this mod didn't really affect IATs so if it doesn't affect IATs I would think the only reason to have it would be to keep heat out of the blower to keep in healthy.

Your cooling mods are definitely above and beyond but your pulley doesn't seem that small from the pictures. What size is it? What fuel are you running on?

Spectre filter wasn't enough cfm, never got used. I don't prefer ottp by any means but he offers certain things others don't. Like the intake, I have my own fab shop but for 200 or whatever it was **** it, and I used his piping and made my own intake set up, didn't even bother having him put fittings on it
