Question for ZZP mid length or any mid length people.

I just installed my Mid length combo and my questions are. Has any one had any problems with not running a heat shield? Or am i safe without it? What are some things people have done for heat shielding? Thanks in advance

I started bending mine to fit, then decided against using it. I want to be able to put it back on when I go back to stock for when I trade it in.

I used DEI header rap and EHT Paint and covered the pores on the DEI rap and you can touch the header while the car is running without burning your fingers!

I herd header wrap was not good for them. It traps moisture in and can crack them over time. I could be wrong. I felt behind the hood last night and it was hot but nothing crazy. Ill try it out for now im just worried about when it gets hotter out. Over all the headers sound good. Not to loud until you really jump on it. Only thing i don't like is that its got a little raspy. But im gonna change out my resonator its starting to rattle and tinker and i need to get a new gasket for the cat back. Im thinking about bolting up a Magnaflow 4" round 18" muffler where maybe cut down on some noise and eliminate the rasp. Let me know what you guys think.
