So which is better the OTT Heat Exchanger or the ZZP Heat Exchanger? Like which one is better? Also what is the difference between all these Dual Pass Endplates? Is there a difference between the ZZP, OTT and the GM one that ZZP sells??????

The OTT h/e vs ZZP is a hot topic lol...I feel the OTT is better I would get one from them personally. The dual passes as far as I know are all the same with ZZP and the OTTP you can send them your original plate for cash back.

I know this is an old thread. I bought my 2006 SS/SC cobalt brand new. November of 2005
As of from August 24th 2015 - September 5th I basically did all my mods all at once. Did some research but maybe not enough with pulley sizes.

In order this is what I did/had a buddy help me install.
ZZP mid header/down pipe package.
Magnaflow cat back exhaust.
OTTP stage kit - 2.7" pulley,60# injectors with harness and spark plugs, ottp 4th gen heat exchanger, canned tune with my mod list. And also got stage one axles and stage 2 mounts. It took my buddy a few days but did all of this in a weeks time

Come to find out my IC pump most likely is either weak or dead. Which I ordered along with an aero force interceptor gauge which should both be here Tuesday or Wednesday ( September 8-9th 2015) after further research I appears I should get a option B and a dual pass end plate and have installed at the same time.

I haven't drove it much at all, maybe a couple times around the block because I don't wana melt or damage anything. This is my daily driver car and just wanted more power, much faster but still reliable.

What else can or should I do? To be on the safe side? I keep hearing meth but I don't know **** about it or how to maintain it.

This is my first time Modding any vehicle I ever had I also have a Cold air intake

that looks good so far. I would definitely get a wideband gauge as well to monitor your Air/fuel ratios.

That's a pretty safe setup you have. I would throw on a dual pass and option B... but if you're not beating on it run after run, you will be fine without them. Wait to see when your aeroforce gets in... if your IAT2s are at 130+ at idle and 200+ WOT its definitely done.

On pump gas, I personally rather not see IAT2 temps above 150+

And also, get a custom HP tune if you can. that $300 is a far better investment then all that other stuff.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm planning on getting a custom tune. I ordered the pump anyway and should be here tomorrow. I had messed up situation with the aeroforce gauge from ordering from one company then told me it was out of stock,so I canceled the Order over the phone and ordered another from a different company. The company I canceled with out my permission found one and ordered it anyway and I ordered another one ( these are not returnable) but I got it figured out so we will see. Can't wait to put the dumb pump on lol and the gauge. Then I'll feel safe about driving it to the tune shop
