shift linkage

gear shift linkage broke again, have no gears, had it fixed at the dealer a couple weeks ago. Is there a permanent fix for this?

I just had my 07 SS/Sc repaired, I thought it was linkage of some sort, turns out it was factory defective part. the 5th gear shaft was worn and caused the pin to break in turn I couldn't put it into any gear. Is this the problem your having or is it actually linkage?

you just have to make sure the linkage is properly adjusted. do you have a short shifter. i went through one set already did the install myself and now 2000 miles later no problems

put a small bolt thru it instead of roll pin

Where exactly did it "break" at? Take the console out and pull the boot up, if everything is fine there then I don't know what the hell has happened unless the two pop-on ball joint ends came off the transmission - I just can't see in my head what would break there........... are you drop kicking it into gear off of a folding chair or something?

EDIT: To the above post ... ah, I see, are those really that fragile? My drop kicking into gear comment still stands
