sleeves and rods?

How much hp can the stock sleeves and rods hold?

im gonna have ,
gt3076r or s256 et
ported head
pistons
and all the turbo bolt ons

So i want at least 400 wheel...

Any guesses?

BLAZIN07SS 02-18-2010 10:33 PM

you can do 400whp on complete stock long block, just turbo swapped

selfinfliction 02-18-2010 10:43 PM

anywhere between 100whp to 4006whp

shit breaks, our engines aren't rated to hold 400hp and just because they hold it for some, don't expect it to work for you.

and btw, the majority of people that ask these questions never end up doing much because they have no idea how much work it actually is. sorry to be the ass, but it's the way it is.

Well tryn to get second opinions and help from people that know a little bit more never hurt...

selfinfliction 02-19-2010 08:58 PM

ok ok sorry...

well i plan on making about 350-375whp and then maybe abother 100-125 shot on top of that. even without the nitrous, i already bought the sleeves just because it's not worth the risk. people have blown out sleeves around 300whp, some have put 450whp+ on them without issue.

if money is not a major concern, then get them for sure. if not and you want to go that high, you're just rolling the dice.
