supercharger coolant system on turbo?

*had this in the advanced section but got no hits, thought i would post in here too*

I had some issues with air getting sucked into the coolant lines this weekend after a race and am trying to come up with a plan to make sure it doesn't happen again...

what we would do is plumb the outlet of the exchanger to the feed point on the turbo and the outlet of the turbo into the pump.

the factory supercharger cooler has a 2qt capacity (not sure on the flow rate), do any of you guys think this would work or not? I'm sure the pump can support the volume that the turbo needs without an issue, but what i'm really curious about is if the coolant volume itself as well as the heat exchanger would support the cooling of a turbo. and we're not sure if this may be beneficial or detrimental for the turbo itself, since it would always see pressurized flow even when it is at low speeds.

(this is with the oem manifold being removed, so the only thing it will be cooling is the turbo itself)

So you're water/oil cooled turbo?

If you ask me I think that would easily support the cooling for the turbo. I mean a front mount oil cooler for a turbo setup would work the same way. I say give it a shot :twothumbs
