thowing a cel with airbox mod

I started throwing a CEL now that i did the airbox mod so i took it into the dealership cuzz i had a lot of other problems to and they said the reason i am getting a cel is because i am running to lean so i need to put the airbox back to stock? What do you guys think

Sounds like they should probably check to see if it needs the reflash to correct that problem. If it has been reflashed then it is hard to say.

But there saying if i put the bottom part of the airbox back on it will correct it. I cant see how taking off the bottom of the airbox can make your engine run that lean to throw a cel

That happens to just about everyone. Nothing to worry about, it is prolly the most common code thrown on our cars. What it is doing is giving the MAF a different reading setting off the CEL, dont worry about it.

Yes what he said. There was a reflash to correct the problem... however it doesn't correct it all the time.
