Ticking while engine is running or not???

I get a ticking sound from what sounds like on the passenger front side of the car, I notice it after I have driven for a bit if I am at a stop with the windows down and also after I shut off the balt. It's definatly the same ticking so I don't think it's the timing chain tensioner but I'm at a loss. Any ideas as to what it could be? Balt is 06' SS 84k with AEM intake as only mod. No CEL's or noticable power loss.

valves or fuel injectors

Wait so this happens after you shut the car off also? Could be a relay if thats the case, but you probably wouldn't hear it clicking with the engine running. If it's only while running then chances are at least 90% that it is in fact your timing chain tensioner.

Word.

Perfectly normal, you notice it after your driving for a bit because then it's heated up.
