Good thing you didn't read all those pages because the answer isn't there, nor will it be.
But my soul isn't for sale and no one will pay me for my first born, she is quite the handful, so I am stuck with this bill but lets just say that I could have been driving almost anything I chose.

hrmm....an orange peel look ehh....maybe its something different then.

the race engine all have there manifolds jot-hot'ed, then wrapped....deff has a smooth look to it.

some header wrap will help you as well Rod, not much, but in the race world every rpm you can gain at full boost is worth it...but its not "pretty"

Wouldn't that be hilarious if they didn't let her in to the states

We have had all of the header, exhaust and charge pipes coated inside and out to deal with heat. Right now I do not know of any plans to wrap the header but time will tell.

How big are those rear tires on that baby? form the looks of it that took some fabrication to make the wheel wells big enough to handle them. If so, how hard was that to do? I want some big shoes on mine eventually, but 245 is all the bigger we can go without rubbing i think...

245 is plenty big for your regular cobalt.

I would guess his tires are 380-390 wide...

The tires are 29.5" tall and 13.5" wide and yes there was a bit of work to fit them in there. The wheel wells were made wider just so the wheels would go on and off.

I know this, I have 225 now and they work fine, and I have stage two w/ 2.9 and CAI. But I was suggesting bigger ones AFTER I slap the turbo on her, and get around 440 to the wheels... I may need a tad wider tires in that case.

You will be fine with 245. I run 245/45/17 Nitto 555R Drag radials for my daily driving tires and yes my car made 440whp. Its fine. Learn to drive and you can have 400+whp on a 215 tire.

lol yeah learn to drive but skinny tire gets you left in the dust cause if you have 215 and someone has 245's it wont matter how much skill you have you will not have a great start and you can actually spin tires through the first 1/8th mile. LOL.

just wait til you have tq. I was running 22.4 psi last night )made 414whp on 20.5psi) so I was right near the 440whp/400wtq number last night and I was breaking my hoosiers loose lol. On the highway on the way home I was spinning 3rd into 4th gear (104 octane race gas = smiles lol)

Driving skill wont matter when you have that much to the wheels My buddy has a VR-4 that rips all four 255s lose in 2nd.

I can drive pretty well. I am far from the best, but above average i would think. I just want the most grip possible when I launch. Either way they will spin, but a little less so with the bugger suckers on there.

Wider tires just look more badass anyways

if your car is a true 10.5 you will have steep competition. or you could get wacky and do a 10.5w on it
