With my car still in a million pieces, inside JBP, burning it down will only slow the project down.

well rod sorry to see the snags, but **** it should be expected by now.
Hopefully I'll be taking a roadtrip this spring
It was my suggestion to slow things down and after it taking this long anyways, I don't want to cause more snags by pushing. The snow will be there soon and I don't want the car test driven any where around snow and ice.
On another note, I guess I should stop praying for patience, because I have learnt to be that with these Cobalts.

How do you have the exhaust exiting the engine to the back or side of the car? Once the trans and driveline are in this space will be used. I want to do the same thing but use a solstice drivetrain for street use.

If any of you have seen the issues with the daily driver Cobalt, you will know that I have been focusing on getting it running and reliable for going back and forth to work.
At the same time the winter is fast approaching and there is no way the project car will make it onto a road until spring time.
I had really been pushing JBP to get the project done and now we have both agreed that it is time to let off the pressure for the sake of the project. The DD engine died likely due to a simple slip up in assembly, something that cannot be repeated on the project. With five months until clear roads again, the next couple of months will be time for JBP to focus on other customers & projects that they have let slide while working on my car. That will also allow them to come back to the project with clear heads and a renewed focus.
I see no reason to rush anything now simply to have it sit around. The plan is still for the car to be ready for the track come spring time as well as having the unveiling when people can see it on the track doing some all out runs.---------

I see a reason. I agree letting up pressure to allow no mistakes. to leave it idle so they can work on other stuff is not really your problem. they should be able to project manage to continue work on your car now. push means it will be done opposed to not being ready for april, may, or june. I dont want you to go without the car next summer rod. Think about it but getting done early is a good thing. just means it is ready for testing come april in the GTA and then we can get that thing home. I will have to buy more steak I know but that is ok.

hope you live near an outlaw track though, nhra rule book states that

"Conversion from transverse to longitudinal engine orientation prohibited."

also you must reatin full unibody structure from firewall to front struts....

Perhaps you should tell us what page of the book you got that information from.

I have my book open, waiting for your response.

I have gone over the rule book where it concerns my intentions and I have never seen that statement. On top of that, the chassis builder built himself a converted Dodge Rampage to a RWD with no issues on the NHRA tracks.

Well that isn't the class I am going for so I never read that part of the book, go figure.

That is what I was thinking. On a good note, he did find my thread the same day he signed up.
