Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake.
Hi guys, just bought this baby for my own pleasure and testing:
Weapon-R Here is a link for the only purpose of showing the flow bench test and supplemental technical info: WEAPON-R AIR INTAKE 05-07 CHEVY COBALT SS SUPERCHARGED | eBay And the installation instructions: http://www.drautomotive.com/images/i...ns/307-169.pdf And I will be getting a free "Ram Air" kit as well ... I wished it would come with the pretty lady in the ad but this is a different story ... lol and will let you guys know when installed ... :cssNET: |
Yea I have this on my car works good to me compared to the injen/eBay pos intake lol
|
my baddy has this, it works just as good as any other 3in intake.
|
I hope it doesnt look like the one in the instructions....
That looks like shit with all the welds. Hopefully, that was only a prototype. |

True Injen brand intakes are one of the best. Ebay knock off look alikes suck, and throw codes. |
This one is pretty nice quality and it's a 3in.

Well assuming that all filters are created equal ... but I doubted so I will test the Weapon-R to see how many lb/min (and how many PSI of restriction pre-supercharger) this intake does against my current "slightly oiled K&N cotton filter in stock airbox without lower lid".
I've tested a bunch of intakes, and my current setup (modified airbox & K&N E-0777 filter) has flown the most air with next to no restriction (0.1-0.2psi @ 6900rpm-7250rpm). I just ran a test last night.... 68*F, 35.03 lbs/min, 7100-7250rpm. |

I would not call it an "Injen/Ebay" intake. It is a ebay intake that is a "wanna be Injen"

True Injen brand intakes are one of the best. Ebay knock off look alikes suck, and throw codes. and the whine with the injen was next to none. |
Weapon-R first results.
|
So is it worth it to switch to this..?
|
Well at least it looks nice in the engine bay ... and the whine is better than stock airbox mod.
