What is avalible for the Colbalt SS

I gust got my Colbalt SS on Aug 17th. I love this car. It handels so much better then my old 2000 Civic EX. I did a lot to that car but it just did not have the power that the Cobalt has. I was wondering If any one knows how much can be pulled out of the LSj 2.0 ECOTech. I would like to put Nitros on it but I do not know how much would be too much. I am also looking at trying to pull about 300HP out of it. The car defently has the power to get me over and round all over the place but I am alway thinking that More is better. Its the grea head in me.

Another import driver converted, hurray! According to the GM build book the LSJ internals shouldn't be used over 300 HP. They never say that they fail, they just say its not recommended, so who knows how much they can actually take. Also when you talk about nitrous, please call it that instead of "NOS", people here like to make silly "NAWS" FaF jokes. Currently there isn’t much out for the Cobalt SS.

Here's some other stuff you might consider doing:
Air box mod:

Boost Bypass:

They’re some companies that are working on products that should be released soon. Rev It Up Motorsports, Modern Performance, Magnaflow, K&N, and AEM to name a few.

Here’s some reading material for you (you need a PDF viewer):

the LSJ internals have been holding over 300 with a turbo swap (cavi with LSJ swap, full standalone)

the main hurdle with the engine is the tuning. there's so many checks and balances it's unbelievable...

good i'm glad someone pointed out the whole NOS thing to him... its amazing how one movie can make people think that NOS is actually Nitrous, and not just a company that makes components for it
