What to do...
What to do...
Hey guys....I have that itch again...here are the choices.
Choice number 1. 2.8 inch pulley, 60lbers and a tune.
Choice number 2. TVS and tune etc.
Choice number 3. Hahn stage 5 turbo kit and tune etc.
I really don't know what to do. If I put the 2.8inch on and 60lbers I will have a decently fast reliable daily driver. If I spend 3k I can have a pretty powerful cobalt that will run decent times. If I spend 5k I can have a ***** to the wall 400+whp cobalt that will do anything i want it to lol.
I just don't know if its worth the money at this point. If i wanted to..i could get a camaro and put next to nothing in it to run the same times at the 1/4mile track.
Is it really worth it? There is always going to be someone out there faster then you.

your in the same dilemma as me. Can't make up my mind, keep the m62 and put about a 1g into dual pass, h/e, 2.8, 60's. or go nuts and go hahn turbo. I had my mind made up till the talk of the new intake manifold came up. I would love to see what the m62 could do without that p.o.s.
BTW you'll more than likely soon thereafter need a clutch, and I would do the return style fuel upgrade from OTT cause you'll definitely not want to short those cylinders (#4) of fuel, and axels.

well you will always wanna go faster no matter what your car can do...If you go turbo, do you have another car to drive around in for a bit. If you do then go big!!!
But if it were me I would do 60s, 2.8, tune....lol...cuz thats what im doin(sig)

Thats the same thing i was kind of thinking...go awd... Better in the snow, better launches, better handling all around..i dunno, maybe i should of went with an awd car in the first place....hmmm lots of stuff to think about.
No. You should stick with what you got and modify it. Hahn Stg5, strong upgraded clutch, upgrade axles if you plan on tracking the car a lot, one of the new Rev Boxes, and some good traction mods (ie: BWoody Race Traction Bars & the complete set of BWoody Solid Motor Mounts)... you'll be set.
One step at a time though. Get the Hahn kit now.

It's tough to say you really have to sit down and ask yourself what the hell you want out of your car and really dig down. If you want the big power hahn is there, if you want decent power and relabilty the tvs is great to, or if your fine with the 2.8 and 60's thats cool to.
It is ultimately what you want out of the car, but I have put a lot into the m62 and you always end up down the road wanting more. If you are tempted by turbo and have the cash hahn is the way to go. Even if you can save it over time, it might be better to do that. I invested a lot into supercharger items and now partly have to think about them being wasted money if I go turbo after all. It is quicker, but it doesn't do it for me yet. I think too the turbo would still be a good daily driver. I wish it was an option when I started buying and upgrading.
