What parts from an LNF will swap onto an LSJ and be considered upgraded?

I know of a few parts that can be swapped from an LNF to an LSJ but I'm probably missing some, and considering the LDK if anything from that.

mrbelvedere 12-26-2013 09:09 PM

nothing is worth sswapping over

Powell Race Parts 12-26-2013 09:12 PM

car

BlkWdoSS 12-26-2013 09:15 PM

DO NOT attempt to put k04 on LSJ, your tuner will hate you and you will hate your car, get a turbo kit from ZZP or HAHN if you want turbo

redcobalt07 12-26-2013 09:25 PM

The suspension is an upgrade.

JBros35 12-26-2013 09:27 PM

brembos!

blueLNFftw 12-26-2013 09:49 PM

Brembos
Shifter bracket
Seats
Front grille
Control arms
Struts
Shocks
Springs

I think that is it. Timing chain tensions and TOB but those need bought new from GM.

Debatable on the front grille, lol. I like the SC grille better and the SC lower grille that CrateEngineDepot sells.

sl0wlsj 12-27-2013 12:22 AM

Yeah I would never put a K04 on. And yeah I knew the timing chain tensioner because its revised, already have the new one. Have the lnf tob from ced. I have zzp tranny mounts. I would love to put a set of brembos on.

Drunkship 12-27-2013 12:39 AM

Do you run a winter wheel/tire setup? I think that the Brembos won't clear 16" steelies.

Bluelightning 12-27-2013 12:39 AM

If you would never put a K04 on it's a good thing you posted this question in the LSJ performance section

SPDDMN36 12-27-2013 01:26 AM

Aesthetics is it besides brakes and suspension I ssuppose.

Yes they are

LS6Rally 12-27-2013 08:32 AM

if you have an 07 SC the Radio in the TC may have the USB port, which is plug and play, well ma need to be unlocked at the dealer.

interior is nicer(IMO) LSD if it has it nd you dont, but your Final drive gearing is better

LSJ had LSD options.
The interior is exactly the same aside from the seats.
Define "better". The LNF trans is weaker.

LS6Rally 12-27-2013 08:50 AM

I was saying if he doesn't have LSD in his LSJ and the LNF does, he could swap it.

and your right on the interior, I should've specified, because I wanted to include the door panles, as they wont match unless the TC is Black/Black. you know how that goes....

the lnf uses an f35 with a different final drive so how is it weaker

LNF control arms have a 1mm larger ball joint and pin that goes into the knuckle.

Only the final drive is different?

Yup

LS6Rally 12-27-2013 11:19 AM

you just couldn't NLS the LSJ, so you didn't blow the thing apart in 3rd I guess

I would not consider 1mm that big of a difference you can buy aftermarket and put the same parts in an lsj arm and as far as I know the only difference is the final drive

you can nls the lsj its not just as easy as the lnf the reason why lnf will destroy the tranny is the final drive (3.85 vs 4.05) puts more stress on the gear set(3rd) and also how the power comes on dose not help either the blower power delivery is more linear and dosent kill the driveline like a snail will
