What is recommended next upgrade step?

I got a 06 SS/SC. Runs great, all maintenance is kept up to date. Only mods so far is the ZZP 3 inch CAI. I'm looking at spending about $800-1,000, what the best for my buck? I'm looking at ZZP Stage 3 with a dual-pass endplate and 2.9 pulley and 50# injectors. Also looking at Their LS4 throttle body to go along with that. Thoughts? Is there a better combination available?

one of the best things is a catless DP. i have a zzp 2.5" Dp for sale for $100 shipped. if you're interested let me know

new clutch before making power. the stock one can barely hold the stock power.

throttle body will give you a jumpy start, very touchy, i would wait on that til you upgrade to a tvs blower. I would go with exhaust of some sort, gotta be able to get air out as well as in

oh and stage 3 A+++++++ love it, in the future you will probably want bigger injectors, just get bigger ones now (60's or 80s) so you spend less in the long run, i made that mistake, got 50s, no i have to buy the 80s to support e85

the ls4 is touchy if not set up correctly

op go to the dyno section and look and see what people are doing it will give a better idea of what to expect with what

So instead of the throttle body I thinking about the cat less dp. I'm going up to ZZP so they can tune the car. Or should I wait and get the header/dp combo with a catback exhaust later around September?

On a side note, I heard that the stock clutches are able to withstand up to 350 whp.

if you know how to drive your clutch will be fine. get the stage kit, its the best bang for buck. then look into exhaust. get a 2.9 pulley and dual pass and 60's and enjoy ur new found horsepower. good stage kit tune can net you 30-50 hp depending on what pulley you go and when cooling mods you have. full exhaust will only net you like 10 hp maybe if you are stock. and full exhaust costs much more than just a stage kit.

Well the plan is to get the stage 3 for sure here in a couple weeks reguardless. I'm just trying to figure out what else to get for a couple hundred bucks, either downpipe or throttle body. By the end of the summer I plan on getting the 3 inch cat-back exhaust from ZZP along with whatever I don't get now (tb or dp). After I get those then during the winter in gonna look at new clutches, axles, tran mounts. Hoping to be around 275-300 whp all said and done and under 13 sec 1/4 mile.

50's are kinda pointless IMO..and dont get a clutch theres alot of ppl that hav put 300's on stock clutch and held..my stock clutch held when i was on my tvs on a 2.6 and e85 and meth...i would jus upgrade the exhaust, a meth kit, pulley and injectors if u can find good deals u can get all that for under a grand...but always remember when ur lookin at injectors to leave sum room for more power cuz ull get the mod bug trus me

U need to get some transmission mounts before u go for big power, also make sure ur ic pump is working once u done that get a catted downpipe(catless sounds like ****) and a bad mab shorty header. Once u have this u will be rdy for ur stage kit! Also dont forget to get a dual pass with whatever kit u buy.

U really need to stop telling people that, U are very misinformed about ur cooling and how it works with ur car. The fact that u live in a hot area is all the more reason u should be running cooling mods, u posted on another thread that ur iats2 get to 160 just from a 3rd gear pull that means ur car is heat soaking and u are losing power, if u would atleast get a dual pass u will see a hugh difference but we can preach to u all day, if u refuse to listen nothing can be done to help u.

^^this. First mods on a sc car should be cooling mods. As well as an interceptor to monitor ait2 temps and knock during a pull.. Be smart about your car and it will love you back.

i am not trying to make anyone mad either. just trying to learn a thing or two like everyone else. i was borderline joking when i said they were overrated, but that is based on my own experience without having cooling. i cannot feel any power loss from when my iats are high from when it cools off at night and they are low. i know i could make more power at a lower iat, but just how much more?? is it really so noticeable??
my good sir. I dont know much if anything about tuning but I can tell you one thing I've learned about cars in the past month. When having forced induction they run like ass in the heat lol. Get up to a good 97-100 degrees here daily

U may not be asking for help but ur giving out bad info to new members, someone thats new will see ur post and be like ok cool ill go run this 2.8 pulley no cooling mods and then he will heat soak his car and have no idea why hes car is now slower then it was stock. Also u say ur trying to learn a thing or two but u pass over good info and dismiss it because u dont feel a lose of power, the reason u dont feel a lose of power is cause ur already running low timing because ur getting knock on ur top end, while u may not notice the lose of power trust me its there. Also how can u need afford an 80 dollar dual pass? U could afford hptuners and stage kit but u cant come by 80 bucks to do a basic cooling mod? If u tune ur own car then im guess u can install it urself.

U turn on the car and open the filler neck by the super charger and watch to see if its flowing, u will be able to see it flowing very easy, if ur running stock mounts u may see the engine shaking the coolant so dont confuse that with flow.
