What are the stock plugs for a 2006 SS
Trying to help a friend out, can someone show me a link to what exactly are the stock spark plugs on a 2006 Cobalt SS.
The model number I have are "ac delco 41-106", they are iridium and Im pretty sure NGK manufactored these for the SS's, can someone show me a link that proves that. Thanks guys |
idk the number i know the're NGK-R's

mine had ngk's, I've personally seen another with the ac delco's .....must have to do where it was built

I'm the friend he's trying to help out. Can anyone find me proof that NGK made our spark plugs. The dealer says if I prove they're stock, they'll fix my car. ridiculous but I need help!
|
Yeah just to note I even called AC Delco and their rep told me that they do use NGK's in some just depends, but he didnt know how I could get proof of it to take to the dealer.

The stock plugs on my '06 ss/sc actually said "NGK" right on them. They're not iridiums, though - if yours had iridiums someone has replaced them. Only 08+ SS come with iridiums stock.

Is your car an SS/SC?, if it is they should be NGK PLatnum PFR6T-10G if you go to any parts place and ask what a stock plug is for an SS/SC this is what they should tell you. If you have a SS non-supercharged still asked any decent parts house and they should tell you. I had the above mentioned when it came of the show room floor. Part No. 5542 NGK Spark Plug: Plug No. PFR6T-10G Laser Platinum Spark Plug: OE Style; 4 Per Car; Gap @ .040 Warranty: Limited 3 Month* Ships in 1 day $19.99 Taken from O'reilly's web site, notice the "OE Style" http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductL...pe=960&PTSet=A |

Anyway, here's a picture I just took of my stock plugs. For some reason I still have them in my toolbox, even though I got rid of the car over a year ago. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...ck06SSplug.jpg |
