what temps does your car get to in the summer?
the normal time is 223*, which is when the fans kick in and cool you down. Mine used to do that all the time at idle, but since i got tuned, i set it to where they kick in at 200 and cool me down to 180.
i've noticed even the 2.2's pull harder at 180 then they do at 195
175-185 seems to be the sweet spot, above 190 and that engine feel heatsoaked
never got above 190 in the ss so i wouldn't know

Yeah i freaked the **** out when i got my stage 2 installed in my ss/sc and it was hitting 220-223*. I took it to the dealer and said somethings wrong and he said its normal. I was like damn thats hot
220 in tarffic, but it drops at a certain point, and dont turn ur A/C on full blast, it runs on a belt....Duh! unfortuneltly u just turn on the heater and just the fans turn on, but not even I myself will turn the heat on in the summer. but to each his own
mine only gets to 198 then my fans kick in and that only happens while im at idle but while driving during the middle of the day 181 to 183, thank u many many cooling mods : )
so i spent some time watching the PLX readouts from the OBD2, and idling for a long time the temp goes up to 201 at that temp you hear the fans kick in temp keeps rising to 203 then drops back down to 177 to 180-185 and stays there. Of down the road, runs, 177-180 ....AIT are 77 idling and about 70 going down the road, so that tells you what the car is seeing at the MAF box...
