Would I benefit from meth injection?
I looked around and couldn't find a straight answer to this. I'm running a 2.8" on a stage 2 tune. I really don't forsee a custom tune happening, mainly because of warranty issues and I don't know of anyone in the area that would do it. I wouldn't mind trying the stage 3 tune out if I could find someone around here that could help me with it, but I'd be afraid of that running on just 42#. I'd probably have to fall back to a 3.0", but that would be pretty much the same thing I'd guess.
I'm sure that I'm running a bit lean because of IDC's being >100% near redline. Would the octane boost give me some help/protection, or would I be better off with a dual pass endplate or a cobra H/E? My car heats up quick in the summer and there is noticeable heatsoak when I'm at a redlight. |
the cobra and the dual pass is only to make sure everything is staying sufficently cool...meth is actually boosting the performance by raising the octane up to 110 and it will definatly keep it really cool so i would definitly go wiht the meth. That what im probably going to do next

Meth FTW!!!! by far!
|
anyone with a eaton supercharger will
|
i'm in a similar situation, only i have 60#s with the 2.8" waiting to install
I am cheap, broke, lazy, and don't want to do a FMHE or meth injection. how much damage will i be doing by not having cooling mods? |
chances of ur car sounding like a wrx are little slimmer

If you run meth with no tune, really all you will get is the cooling benefits.
The performance benefits come from a tune where the timing can be raised.. and with out tuning for the increased octane you wont see much benefit from it either... |

an untuned car on meth will be slower than one without it.
