WTF is my car doing.

I figured i would ask this now while i am ordering parts since i am still in iraq. Before i left alaska for iraq my car was stock except for my body kit, so i know its not a performance part issue. When i am just driving around town my car shifts just fine, no sliping of my clutch and no sign that my clutch is going out. My car also still performs great while im on it driving around town, mountains, what have you. the problem i have is when i am racing and i am slamming the **** out of my gears usally from first to second. its kinda hard to explain. what happens is i will be on the gas step on the clutch release the gas shift just very fast, the car will still accelerate but my rpms are shooting from five grand to redline repeating and it sounds like i forgot to shift but i am accelerating id dont know what it is. i also cant do e brake stands im not sure what the problem is i do know it hasnt done it the hole time i have had my car and i have been pretty hard on it but it only has 18000 miles on it. any help would be great.

it is slipping the clutch. unless you're pushing over 280 whp. you do not have enough power to do rolling burnouts in second

its not, not doing the burnouts that conserns me its the jumping of rpms over and over when i shift that i want to know about i could car less if i cant pull up my hand brake and smoke my tires by the way i forgot to mention it doesnt do it all the time. i guess what i am asking is it a indecation that my clutch will go soon or do i just need to slow my shifts and i should be fine.

wait till your foot is off the clutch pedal to hit the gas. always shift above 3k. it will live a bit longer

^^^w3rd.
also, do not shift 1st to 2nd while your tires are spinning. your rpms will be too low when it catches traction and the clutch will slip when you release it in 2nd gear and hit the gas = clutch slip. there was a sticky post or how to somewhere about this.

thats not entirely true. most people on here do not have the power to drive through it. the tires hook and the clutch gives.

yeah clutch isnt the best! but mainly its the huge difference in gear ratio from first to second, and when you push in the clutch to shift, the tires hook and then its like dumping the clutch in second it just doesent hold!!! you will learn how it likes to be driven
