Definitely do the airbox mod. Go down to your nearest O'Reilly, Autozone, or Advanced Auto and buy a $25 Spectre filter, take your stock filter off, put on the spectre filter, then either drill holes into your bottom cover or don't put it on like me :P

yes it does, you gotta drill a hole in there, but its quite easy. And realistically, its an intake, pretty simple, the only thing theres has above everyone elses is the maf location, seems to not set off a check engine light, and run well with the readings. Ottp makes a 3 inch intake as well, they will probably hook you up with a deal, so you could probably save some money with that route. But on the other hand, zzp has the toppest of the top notch customer service. Either way, they are both intakes, and both the sme size. If you really want to know, flow tested, the stock intake with an airbox mod moves the most air based on testing...
There are things found on this site to debutt a few things stated in that post, but that's for debate another time.

Their 1 piece design is super nice.
I agree with this.
Hell, my modified stock box w/ K&N E-0777 filter outflowed my old Injen intake.

I'm not a zzp nutswinger I just happen to pretty much have all their stuff on my car -_- including their catback which i added yesterday. but I've used 3 intakes on my car while being sc.
First was a SRI intake zzp sent with their kit. I have to say that was the worst intake in the world. It was loud though lol.
Second was the stock lsj intake with a airbox mod. It was good provided enough power. The only downfall to that was that it didn't have enough whine for me and I had 2 friends with aftermarket intakes and was jelly of the whine.
I got zzps intake only for the whine. I felt pretty much no difference in power. The only difference now is that it sounds like a japanese robot in a hardcore death metal band is doing a solo in my drivers fenderwall each time I go WOT. Which I love.
Pretty much no difference in airbox mod vs zzps except whine. So if you want whine get any aftermarket 3inch intake. If you think spending money for just whine is stupid then just do a airbox mod lol

It is a good intake, and will make as much horsepower as all the others, but you will not see it. It only replaces the airbox. For that much money, it is better to either modified the stock box, or purchase a full aftermarket intake.
I ran the AEM intake for 2 years by the way.
