I put the intake ( RAW ) on my car about 4 years ago, and havnt touched it since, lol. I take care of every other part of my car except the MAF, and the filter. Probably time I replaced the filter and cleaned the Maf.... but man its such a pain in the ass to get to....
I had them powder coat it gunmetal. Looked sweet!!
Yeah, it sucks the filter is located inside the front bumper, but I've changed my setup so many times I can swap in as little as 15-20 mins, lol.
I just added a pre-charger to my K&N E-0777 filter. I use it to prevent bugs from getting jammed up in the pleats of the filter. Help's improve filtering as well
Yes sir. It is their trademark.

lol, yeah I think I do.... Give me a min.
Ok here it is:
I havent seen this pic in a few years. Makes me miss it
What a bitch to install though, and I hated bending the brake lines. That always bothered me.

Did yours hit where it goes inside the fender? And if so what did you do to correct that? Annoys me, so I stuffed a silicone coupler in there, and its worked for years, just would rather have something better, thats the one thing I dont like since they dont have the mounting tab below.

It rubbed on my PCM though. The problem with RAW was consistancy. Some intakes would fit great, and others would not.
I wonder if this intake is still around. I forget who I sold it to.

since filters and stuff were being thrown around here.....anyone heard/tried a volant filter? lol I was bored and looking around and it popped up so I was like what the hell is this. The "reviews" say that they're real good and its supposed to flow more than k&n. Also looks cool lol

No. It's not coated with the water repellant like found on a hydro-shield.
Since I run a modified stock airbox, I have no worries about water.... I use the pre-charger to keep the bugs & larger dirt particles from getting wedged in between the filter pleats. Keeps the filter cleaner longer, and helps make the K&N a little more efficient in terms of filtering.
