Thumbs up 2.2 valve cover VS 2.4 valve cover

The 2.2 Cobalt 2007 have the new 2.2 valve cover (4 coils) on it very similar to the 2.4 design. I'm in the process of making engine dress-up parts for the NA Cobalt's, we have access to a 2007 2.2 right now but not to a 2.4...

My question is:

Are they exactly the same as the 2.4 valve covers???

I assume they are not but let me know...

Thanks for any help!

Cannot use one on the other. The 2.4 has VVT and the valve cover bulges where the cam adjusters go -- on the front of the cams. the cylinder head and valve cover are expanded on the 2.4 for these. Also the 2.4 VC has 2 holes for the wiring to the VVT solenoids inside the center area where the spark plugs are.

Thanks for taking the time to explain everything!

That is correct. So I won't try to explain any further other to confirm the information.
