The intake is kinda meh IMO. I think that they still have you change over all the pulleys too. If you want it all in a box, go for it. If you want to hunt for each bolt 'n such you might save some money and obviously customize it.

its looks nice.I pieced mine together for around $1100 including the tune over a 2 month span.

I got that stage 2 kit used for $1025 shipped

a bunch of ppl find used parts for a really good price. maybe half of what that costs.

1LowLS Feb 6, 2012 05:57 PM

exactly.I found a bunch of parts locally on craigslist, then got a couple brackets from Illinois and the rest from ZZP(pulley, injectors,ic pump, heat exchanger)Just had a lot of time to collect and patience is key

^thats my problem. the patience part...i can get a cheap lsj take off kit..i just dont have the time to make it work

Trust me,It was killing me looking at the blower sit in my garage lol.but was well worth the wait

royce777 Feb 6, 2012 06:26 PM

yeah i know. i think about that when i look at the price of the full kit

IonNinja Feb 6, 2012 07:54 PM

if you can afford that kit you may want to consider saving ~$600 more and getting their turbo kit

AzraelRaezier Feb 6, 2012 08:41 PM

i got a buddy who has this kit and its really nice and well put together. id reccomend it if you want convenience over a long term collecting of parts.

The only bad this about this kit is since it uses a custom pulley setup (idler pulley and belt), if you ever have problems with the idler or the belt, it'll be harder to get new parts. I mean obviously I'm sure you could buy them from ZZP separately but they aren't as readily available/replaceable as the LSJ tensioner and idler setup. Other than that and spending a little more than pricing it together yourself, it is a great kit.

i have the sc and there pulley system from the guy above actually and like he said thats the only down side but i have a 2nd car so im not worried and besides gettin a belt would be easy and the pulley is pretty thick i dont see it breaking or anything. btw i have that intake for sale lol

bluebalt07 Feb 7, 2012 10:47 AM

Yeah and the fact that the idler is made custom by zzp means it's gonna be good quality so it's not likely to have issues but the OP didn't seem like he knew much about the kit so I figured it was best to point out that slim possibility lol
