Saab b207r turbo scavenge
First things first - I'm after a JUNKYARD TURBO build. I have tried to search and read about what it takes, but can't find a definitive list/answer/how-to anywhere. This is not about getting the most out of the engine, or what is the best thing to do. It is about a budget turbo build, with junkyard parts (mostly) and I am hoping someone who has done this would chime in with actual helpful information. Okay the disclaimer is out of the way.
I want to pull what I need from a saab 9-3 2.0T, and I have sourced one. I understand that the turbo mani, turbo, and injectors will fit. I have a 2.4l intake mani and TB, was hoping to use that. I think there is a fitment issue with the downpipe, but not sure other than it has a cat in it... can I possibly get it and gut the cat, or use it as a template/flange set to make another that will fit/work better? What about the fuel pump, is the saab one compatible, or should i try to get one from a 2.4l or some v6/v8 car from the era. I know I need tuning, was planning on Trifecta, but is there another similar option? Is the turbo both internally wastegated and BOV, if so is there a way to run a boost controller just to help with boost hitting harder and add external BOV? (I'm not sure of the terminology, but boost builds slower as it climbs cause the wategate spring starts to open slowly as it builds, instead of all at once.)
Thanks to anyone that can offer helpful, real info. Please keep opinions to yourself. I'm not gunning for 300+hp, low to mid 200's would make me happy.

I'd get the tune situation figured out first. Make sure trifecta is still actually tuning the 05-06 L61s. Then start worrying about the other parts. If they don't still tune them its a show stopper.
The stock fuel pump should be fine for the little saab turbo.
There is always a way to run a boost controller, just depends on your level of determination, willingness to spend money, and know-how.

The biggest thing you need to to is use the head off what car your using like the cobalt head the bottom end is basically a lsj if you get into a vvt head then things get very complex and can go alot of different ways
