catless?
catless?
ok. i want to know if there is a way to gut a cat. or do u just have to take it off. i have heard that oyu can just open them up and take out the **** thats in it and it will be straight. also how do u deactivate the o2 sensor so i dont get a C.E.L.?
get a big pipe and ram it in there is a cheap/effective way to do it. it will sound like crap though, and you're not really going to gain anything other than a headache.
as far as the 02 sensor, if you get a cel you can delete it with a code reader, or have the sensor shut off with hp tuners.

You would just be stupid to do this.
ok. what do u suggest?? i want a little HP and im not sure what i sould do. i thought gutting the cat or running catless would work alright but nvm. take that hugge ass muffler off and get a new one? im already doing the airbox mod.

my only proof is logic, and the dyno results posted on the CED website.

check out this page on CED's site showing dyno results: link
if you look at the part where it graphs the AFRs, it shows the run with the stock intake going excessively rich right where the power begins to drop. if you were to tune and get the correct AFRs, it wouldn't really be much of a difference in power, and seeing as the stock intake manifold makes a lot more torque in the 3500 to 4500 range (probably a wider range, since PE didn't kick in until 3500 in this case), the car would probably be faster with the stock intake if tuned properly.

ok, so i would benifit from a 2.4 manifold swap, ingen intake??, CA header, and would it be a better idea to get a catless DP or just a high flow one...? ill prolly leave the stock exhaust in and just get a muffler. plus when is the 2.2 AUTO tuning coming out? they have the manual one already i think.
At least I know what I can look forward to when I get an LSJ DP and exhaust along with my Injen CAI. I put my car on a dyno just to see what the base was and it's 112whp and 110.7 tq.
So hopefully when I do the breather mods, I'll be at least up to 125whp, hopefully more as RedBaseBalt said.
