converting a CAI to a SRI?

I have an Ingen CAI that is made to run as a CAI or a SRI. I currently have it setup as a SRI. My buddy just purchased a Spyder CAI not realizing my intake was a short ram. My question is for both of us, since the Spyder intake is a two part pipe could it as well be ran as a SRI and CAI?

Which pipe is the maf on?

It is on the main pipe that connects to the motor.

The only intake a 2.2 needs is a m62

Thank you for the boosting idea but I'm just looking for answers about the basic air intake
