Coolant, Rad., frozen.

Sup

So, frozen rad or coolent lines, coolant 'gauge' on DIC is going crazy. Starts from -10 to 0°c, warms up to +110 to +127°c and the fan stays on for 10 minutes after shut off.

Do I just need to find a heated garage and leave it there for the night to melt and then put anti freeze in?

Any help is great! Thanks

110 to 127C?!?!?! ****, your thermostat or something is fucked. driving and idle for more than 5 min should be like 90c if I converted correctly.

Unless you have straight water, your coolant should NOT be freezing at -10*C. That does sound like tstat, water pump, or other flow issue. Could be an air bubble as well.

Yes you converted correctly and I let it warm up yesterday before leaving for maybe like 7ish minutes and it was at 90°c and then as soon as I went like 2km it skyrocketed to 121°c and stayed there for a bit. I've only driven it for like 50km since it started happening.

I'm pretty sure there is a **** load of water in it because the guy I bought it from was a *******; hopefully I can get in a friends garage for a night or two to melt and then stick a new hose and rad it her, other than that I'll have to do the whole coolent/water system because I was looking and two of the hoses are stretched out for 1-2" like there's a chunk of ice. Its weird because this crap never happened last winter. Time to get another I guess because this car cost my to much hahaha

Ya I'm hoping its not cracked that's hot as hell!!
